Great new features in Construction TAKEOFF and TAKEOFF+!

ConstructBuy introduced five new features that help you obtain quantities using its online instrument, TAKEOFF, which lets you access your online statements from anywhere, anytime.

Our users hugely demanded these improvements, and we are pleased to present these five enhancements;

1. There are more colors available to emphasize the text. 
2. There are more icons available on this counter.
3. Measurements can now be shown during takeoff. 
4. It is now possible to calculate an approximate scale using an angle dimension.
5. Take off a new launch from an estimation project. 

(*Functions marked with a star are restricted to using the TAKEOFF+ license.)

1- Additional colors are available to highlight the text.

(Feature is only available to those who have a TAKEOFF+ license.)

The highlighter for text will let you add the colors you want and the standard yellow. Additionally, you can include a label for each color you choose.

The goal is to let you choose different colors to distinguish better the text or descriptions you want to emphasize.

All company employees will use these colors to ensure that you are unified in your working methods.

The left panel and legend left the meeting, and the code will show the various uses for the different colors of highlighters on every page of the plan for the following reasons:

• Get more clearly highlighted items that clearly explain the meaning behind the colors they are in;
• highlighters, and hide or show all highlighters according to the need;
• Provide a more precise description and color scheme for the page.

2- More icons are available on the counter.

The markers templates (on the right side of the panel) and Counter readings (on the left side) provide additional symbols to help you identify the things you’ve counted in your calculations.

Also, you will notice how the counters on the plans have been altered to ensure the uniform and clear display of the counters across the drawings, regardless of the various symbols used.

If you would like to suggest alternative symbols, please get in touch with us via the Help menu (?) in yellow.

Additionally, the option to conceal the number of the counter device is now accessible if you do not need them or are looking for an easier-to-read plan.

3- Measurements shown at the time of takeoff.

(Feature only available with a TAKEOFF+ license.)

The markers templates (on the left panel), as well as the taking off (on the left) for length or the area, will offer the option of displaying (or not saying) the measurement of each of the segments that are colored on your design.

This will give you another method of confirming your scale to ensure accuracy.

This will provide relevant information to your plans to benefit your project’s management and staff on the site.

4- Get an appropriate scale using an angle measurement.

Now, you can find an approximate scale drawn on the plane from an element’s dimension of a diagonal or a piece with a diagonal measurement you already know.

We want to remind you that it is essential to constantly make sure you are using two vertical and horizontal measurements. (as often as possible)

It should be remembered that an enlarged plan could be modified due to a mistake in handling by its creator when they created the layout or through an error in printing or photocopying.

5- Start a takeoff of an estimate of a project.

(The feature is only available to those with the TAKEOFF+ license.)

There is now the option to begin or export your project in the TAKEOFF form of a project that ESTIMATION created.

After exporting your project to TAKEOFF, If you’ve selected the option of ” Continue quote in TAKEOFF“:

• The project will be created automatically within TAKEOFF;
• You’ll then have the ability to download plans.
• Then, you can track your work with the most minor and specific to-do lists.

After exporting your project to TAKEOFF, if you’ve selected”Close” “Close” option:

• The Estimation’s model for your project will be displayed on the TAKEOFF’s home screen;
• You or one of your coworkers can begin the project in the TAKEOFF mode by simply clicking on the modeling.
• The project will be constructed with a suitable model, ready to import your plans and begin your takeoffs using a less customized task list.
