To deal with the growing incidences that result from flooding, a group led by the community in the Chicago region is helping residents come up with solutions that meet their requirements.
RainReady Calumet Corridor project is a preferred solution that uses natural and low-impact designs, such as rain gardens, bioswales, natural detention basins, green alleys, and permeable pavers, to minimize the threat of devastating flooding. A recent study has found extreme weather conditions and heavy rainfall particularly damage those of color and immigrants in the region.
The proposed project being developed in Cook County, Ill., is a feasible solution to allow residents suffering from persistent flooding problems who were excluded from discussions about how they will respond to flooding.
An official from the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District says that the problem of flooding affecting the Chicago region is so extensive that a foolproof solution is not feasible. The mitigation efforts must be unique to every community, and the residents should determine the best for them. The reasoning behind this is.
The project’s final implementation in the areas involved is anticipated to begin in the fall of 2023 until the spring of 2025. If the program is successful, it is hoped that its creators will reproduce it in different areas of the county and across the nation.

By the new deal for stadium construction with the city, The Titans were in charge of the selection process of procurement of the companies responsible for the design and construction. By the Nashville Metro government’s procurement policies and procedures, representatives from Metro Nashville and Metropolitan Sports Authority helped the Titans select construction managers.
According to the TBA announcement, participation in diverse businesses and minority-owned contracting are significant issues for the project team. TBA has pledged to exceed and meet the participation targets established in the Business Assistance Office and to collaborate with a diversity reporting consultant who will send regular reports for the Metropolitan Sports Authority regarding minority subcontractor and contractor involvement.

Construction spending in the United States increased by 0.1 percent in July, as per data from an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of the data released from the U.S. Census Bureau. Based on a seasonal adjusted annualized basis, nonresidential expenditure totaled $1.08 trillion and grew by 16.5 percent over the previous year.
The spending increased month-to-month for eight of the 16 subcategories for nonresidential. The private nonresidential sector’s spending rose 0.5 percent, while public construction spending for nonresidents decreased by 0.4 percent in July.
“After today’s jobs report, which indicated that nonresidential construction added an outsized number of jobs in August, one would have expected a strong construction spending growth as well,” said ABC Chief Economist Anirban Basu. “Alas, the economic data, like the economy, are filled with surprise. The month of July saw construction spending for nonresidents barely growing. After adjusting to inflation, the spending fell in real dollars.
