World of Concrete is the only annual event in the industry focused on the commercial concrete and masonry construction industry. World of Concrete is a yearly trade fair for the construction industry for commercial use. The event is held every year either in Las Vegas, Nevada.
World of Concrete 2019
This is an event where resources, products, and information on concrete construction are exhibited and showcased. More than 1,800 businesses and their suppliers worldwide gather at the 900,000-square-foot Las Vegas Convention Center to display, demonstrate, conduct business, and answer any questions regarding what they’re showing.
In addition to the vendors as well as the demonstrations, there are also seminars. The demonstrations simulate actual conditions on the site where visitors can experience the product they’re interested in putting on the test. The workshops are offered throughout the entire event. There are 90-minute or three-hour sessions available. Specific seminars offer certificates where participants can be certified in various focus areas. A few examples of workshop topics are concrete manufacturing, concrete technologies, and management and leadership.
History of the World of Concrete
Introduced to the construction industry for commercial use in Houston, Texas, in February 1975, World of Concrete presented the 77 companies that participated in the show, which covered 22200 sq ft of exhibition space. There were 1,60 professionals from the construction industry attending. Almost 43 years later, World of Concrete boasts more than 1,500 companies exhibiting and 58,000 industry professionals registered with more than 745,000 gross square feet of exhibition area.
